The International Center of the Heartland (ICH), a United Way initiative, provides a single location for newly-arrived foreign-born Nebraska residents to find answers, guidance and culturally-appropriate expertise for their needs. Wrap-around services include acculturation classes, employment preparation, immigration legal services and job search support, as well as direction for health, education and housing needs.
LFS has built a network of support services to help these new populations in Nebraska become self-sufficient and productive as quickly as possible. LFS accomplishes this, not only through its International Center of the Heartland in Omaha, but also at The Welcome Center in Lexington and through Immigration Legal Services.
