Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska and OneSight will provide a free vision clinic for new Nebraskans who arrived in the United States as refugees. The clinic will take place Tuesday October 9th through – Saturday October 13th at Augustana Lutheran Church, 3647 Lafayette Ave in Omaha.
Included will be no-cost eye exams from OneSight optometrists and a free pair of glasses for those who need them. Simple prescription eyeglasses will be made on-site for clients while they wait. More complex eyeglasses (ex. bifocals) will be available for pickup at a later date.
Each exam will last approximately one hour. If patients are found to need eyeglasses, the majority will receive them within an hour after the exam.
To be seen by OneSight professionals, patients or LFS employees can either:
- Register online with Event ID “98248”. Complete the application, submit it, and it will automatically register that person. Each person should fill out one form. OR
- Complete this application, save it, and e-mail it to either Lexi Gunning (agunning@lfsneb.org) or Miray Demian (mdemian@lfsneb.org).
