OMAHA, Neb. (June 9, 2015) – Shawntal Smith, Statewide Administrator of Community Services for Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc., has been accepted into the second cohort of  Greater Good Nonprofit Leaders Program Class of 2016 to begin in September 2015.

The Greater Good Nonprofit Leaders Program, a partnership of the Allstate Foundation and Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management’s Center for Nonprofit Management, presents a special development opportunity for exceptional, midcareer nonprofit professionals who have demonstrated exceptional innovation and creativity in their leadership abilities.

The program, which began with its first cohort of 16 participants in 2014, seeks to tap the power of nonprofit leaders in transforming their organizations, their communities and the nonprofit sector as a whole.  Greater Good leaders experience four in-person academic sessions led by Kellogg faculty, complemented by one-on-one executive coaching and individual development opportunities. All program elements are customized to participants’ needs based on data collected in a 360-degree assessment of each leader at the start of the program.

The program is comprised of 12 academic learning days at Kellogg’s Chicago and/or Evanston, Illinois campuses and at Allstate’s headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. Travel expenses for participants are covered by The Allstate Foundation. The Foundation provides each participant with up to $5,000 for additional approved professional development opportunities during their cohort year.
