June 17, 2014 (Grand Island, NE) – Those requiring assistance from Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) and Legal Aid of Nebraska will no longer need to visit two office locations.

The two non-profits are moving into the same office space on the fourth floor of the Great Western Bank Building at 1811 West 2nd Street, one floor above the current LFS location. Legal Aid of Nebraska is moving from its current location at 207 West 3rd Street.

“We are excited about what this will mean for the clients who require these services in the Greater Grand Island area,” says Shawntal Smith, Statewide Director of LFS Community Services. “We are also proud to co-locate with Legal Aid, which has been a long-time collaborative partner of LFS.”

Lori Wilson is Legal Aid’s managing attorney at the Grand Island office. She says “This move gives us the opportunity to effectively and efficiently provide free civil legal services to lowincome families in the Grand Island area.”

Legal Aid of Nebraska began moving into the new office location on Monday, June 16. Lutheran Family Services will begin moving in later in the week. This will allow the least disruption of service to clients of both organizations. Phone numbers for each office remain the same.

An Open House for the public will be scheduled this fall.

Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska is a 122-year-old statewide, community-based human care organization.
