Smith Scholarship

The Smith Scholarship gives Nebraska students from underrepresented backgrounds who face financial barriers the opportunity to pursue a college degree or skilled trade education. More than simply helping with tuition, the scholarship provides flexible financial support that can address the real-world expenses that often stand between a student and completing their education.

Through renewable awards of up to $15,000 per year for students attending four-year colleges and universities and up to $12,500 per year for students attending two-year trade schools, donors can make a meaningful, sustained investment in a student’s future.

Supporting the Smith Scholarship means removing financial barriers, expanding access to education, and investing in Nebraska’s next generation of leaders and skilled professionals. Scholarship recipients are selected for qualities including academic aptitude, leadership, determination, and a desire to make an impact, helping ensure donor support reaches young people with the potential to strengthen their families and communities.
