There are many meaningful ways for congregations to partner with Lutheran Family Services and make a lasting impact in their communities. Whether through financial gifts, special events, or donations of essential items, your church can help provide hope, healing, and support to children, families, refugees, veterans, and individuals facing life’s toughest challenges.

Explore the opportunities below to find the giving option that best aligns with your congregation’s mission, interests, and ability to serve.

  • Offerings: Churches can choose to designate a special offering to LFS on a Sunday during the year, or this can be a special Christmas Eve offering.
  • Mission Fest: A church or churches can partner together to have a mission fest, and LFS will be highlighted as a community organization, and donations will be collected during the fest.
  • In-Kind: A church can host a collection of household, cleaning, clothing, or food drives where items will be sent to LFS for its clients.
  • Mission of the Month : A church can choose to have LFS be its Ministry partner of the month and set aside a percentage of those months donations to church to go to LFS.
  • Site Host: A church can choose to host a training for members and community or be willing to have a laptop to offer telehealth space for community members to meet with LFS therapists.
