Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured substance use treatment program for adults ages 19 and older who need more support than traditional outpatient counseling.

IOP helps individuals build recovery skills, address substance use challenges and develop healthier coping strategies while continuing to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities.

How IOP Works

Participants receive:

  • Three group therapy sessions each week
  • At least one individual or family session each week
  • A minimum of 10 hours of treatment weekly
  • Support from licensed substance use treatment professionals

Most individuals complete the program in 6 to 8 weeks, depending on their treatment goals and progress.

Who is IOP For?

IOP may be a good fit if you:

  • Need more support than weekly counseling
  • Are transitioning from a higher level of care
  • Want structured treatment while continuing work, school, or family responsibilities
  • Are committed to building long-term recovery
